Ambassador Godwin Selase Zigah appointed to African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly

In a significant continental recognition, Ambassador Godwin Selase Zigah, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana-based ZIGX Mining, has been officially appointed to the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly. The appointment marks a major milestone in his career as a leader in sustainable mining, infrastructure development, and investment advocacy across Africa.

In addition to this new role, Ambassador Zigah has also been named Senior Special Adviser to the Head of Missions for Infrastructure, Investments, Solid Minerals, and Partnerships (West Africa), a position that will see him play a strategic role in shaping regional policies and attracting responsible investment into critical sectors.

The African Union Agenda 2063 is the continent’s strategic framework for inclusive growth and sustainable development over the next several decades. The Ambassadorial Assembly comprises high-level individuals selected to advance the goals of Agenda 2063, which include economic transformation, infrastructure development, and regional integration.

Ambassador Zigah’s appointment is a recognition of his commitment to ethical leadership and inclusive economic development. As CEO of ZIGX Mining, he has spearheaded sustainable mineral exploration practices in Ghana, emphasizing transparency, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. His work has earned him both national and international acclaim, particularly for promoting local participation in the mining sector and ensuring that host communities benefit directly from resource development.
